Children learn best through meaningful activity and relationships. Therapy should fit into family life rather than require families to reorganize their lives around therapy.
We begin with the family’s concerns and priorities.
We build on the child’s interests and strengths.
We practice skills during real routines.
We help caregivers use strategies between visits.
We coordinate with other Early Intervention providers.
Services may occur at home, in childcare, or in other familiar community settings identified in the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan.
During visits, Melissa observes the child’s participation, works directly with the child and caregiver, models strategies, and helps the family decide what to practice during everyday routines.
